Courtney is a trial lawyer with almost two decades of experience in complex commercial litigation. Courtney prides herself on her ability to build partnerships with her clients—working to understand each client’s unique business challenges and to align litigation strategy with that client’s goals.
Courtney prides herself on building relationships through clear and open communication throughout the litigation process and her creativity in formulating a “big picture” strategy that suits each client’s circumstance.
Growing up in rural Louisiana as the daughter of two public school teachers, Courtney learned fundamental values, practical skills, and a strong work ethic from what she witnessed every day. She strives to employ those same values in her service to clients.
Courtney’s accomplishments as a trial lawyer have been widely recognized in the industry. She has been named a Litigation Trailblazer by The National Law Journal, which recognizes litigators from across the nation who are “agents of change.” She has also been named a “Future Star” by Benchmark Litigation and a “Best Lawyer (Commercial Litigation)” by The Best Lawyers in America, in addition to other accolades.
Prior to joining GHA, Courtney was a partner at a large international law firm in Houston where she spent most of her legal career. When not practicing law, Courtney cherishes time with her family, which includes her spouse and their 3 children (plus their 2 rescue dogs and 1 bossy cat).
