GH&A attorneys, Andrew Mytelka, Marc Young, and Victoria Rutherford, recently secured a victory for their client, Wheeler Central Appraisal District (“Wheeler CAD”), by defending Wheeler CAD in an ad valorem tax dispute concerning the 2022 and 2023 market values of midstream Oil and Gas assets owned by Palo Duro. After a three-day jury trial, the jury found that Wheeler CAD’s appraisals of Palo Duro’s assets were not excessive of market value and affirmed Wheeler CAD’s appraisal of the Palo Duro assets at approximately $169 Million and $178 Million for tax years 2022 and 2023, respectfully.
