Joe Cavanah represented the Galveston Historical Foundation in negotiating and addressing the maritime, insurance, regulatory, and operational matters necessary to support the 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA’s historic Sail 250 voyage to the East Coast. The voyage culminated in ELISSA’s first return to New York Harbor in 40 years, where she participated in America’s 250th Anniversary celebration. Joe is a member of the firm’s Maritime Law, Commercial and Appellate Litigation, and Estate Planning, Wills & Probate teams.
