Epstein Receives Distinguished Service Award for Contributions to Health Law

GH&A congratulates J.D. Epstein on being the first recipient of the Distinguished Service Award at the annual Texas Health Law Conference. Co-sponsored by the Health Law Section of the Texas Bar Association and the Texas Hospital Association, the award honors his contributions to the practice of health law.

J.D. began his health law practice in the late sixties as in-house counsel with the National Blue Cross Association. He continued his practice by co-founding the health law boutique of Wood, Lucksinger and Epstein where he developed a national practice representing thousands of providers of healthcare.  His practice  continues to this date as Of Counsel to Greer, Herz & Adams, LLP  In addition to his private practice, J.D. also taught Health Law at the University of Houston Law Center for over twenty years.

He was recognized by Chambers USA from 2004-2008 as an America’s Leading Business Lawyer in Healthcare Law, and from 1993 to present as a Best Lawyer in America for Healthcare Law.
