Frederick E. Black

Frederick E. Black was born in Paris, Arkansas. After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration with honors in 1983 from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Black received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas School of Law in 1986. Mr. Black is licensed to practice before the courts of the State of Texas and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. Mr. Black is a member of the Galveston County and American Bar Associations, the State Bar of Texas and the Galveston County Young Lawyers Association. In addition to being the Outstanding Young Lawyer of Galveston County for 1991, Mr. Black was Secretary of the Galveston County Bar Association from 1993-94 and was Treasurer of the Galveston County Young Lawyers Association from 1988-89 and Secretary from 1990-91. Mr. Black is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation as serves as Trustee of the Permanent Endowment Fund for Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Black practices in the areas of bankruptcy and insurance law.
